We’ve had the great pleasure to have some of most exciting people in the burlesque and performance area at our past events, and our upcoming heroes and villains event will be no different.
Vendetta Vain comes to us all the way from Glasgow to dazzle us with her acts.
Honey Wilde is also known as the Iron Lady of Burlesque. You’ll find out why on 3rd July! Photo by Terence Mendoza.
Suave and debonair Frank Sanazi shows us that if a certain historical extremist group is good for anything, it’s comedy!
Burlesque superstar Beatrix von Bourbon has performed all over the globe, and importantly at the very first Achtung! Cabaret. Now she’s back for more!
Achtung! Cabaret is a night of burlesque and fetish frolics in the heart of Norwich. Our next event will be on 3rd July 2010.
Tickets for our 3rd July heroes and villains event can now be purchased online from our tickets page. They are a very affordable £10 per person if bought before or on 1st June, and £12 if bought thereafter.
The event will once again be held at the Talk, on Oak Street in Norwich, but we have moved from the Mulberry Suite to the much bigger main room. This has a much larger capacity, beautiful stage area, and air conditioning (very important for a summer event, as last year showed).
Our theme is heroes and villains – historical and fictional, so get ready to do your best burlesque or fetish impression of Genghis Khan, Countess Bathory, Wonder Woman, Al Capone, Bonny and Clyde, or even that that guy with the bat obsession!
We are excited to announce that our next Achtung! Cabaret night will be held on Saturday, 3rd July 2010. We know some of you have been waiting for some time for this, so we aim to make the wait worthwhile.
This event will be held in the main suite at The Talk, which gives us much more room, and a bigger stage. Importantly for a summer event, the room is fully air-conditioned!
More information on the event will be posted as it becomes available!
A lot of people have asked us about the date of our next Achtung! Cabaret, and while we don’t have an exact date yet (you’ll hear it here first as soon as we do!), here’s something in the meantime. Warren Speed, whom you’ll recognise from two of our events, no doubt, with acts such as the Gimp, the Burlesque Chav, and other saucy numbers, is producing an exciting movie, called Zombie Women of Satan. Here is the trailer, just released today!
We’re excited to announce that the official video from our last event is now live, and shows some of the most memorable, bizarre, entertaining, and weird moments from the night. Check it out on our homepage.
It is with joy that we announce that the first of several lots of pictures from our last event is now online in our gallery. These pictures were taken by Al Pulford from RockPhotography.co.uk. More photos to follow!
A big thanks to all our performers and staff, but also to a great audience, for making yesterday’s event truly special. In the days to come we will have pictures and eventually video to show off on this site!
Achtung! Cabaret is only four days away. If you opted to have your tickets sent to you, you should have received them by now.
Rather than simply handing out a prize to the most fabulous or lavish outfit, we thought we’d make it a little harder this time, by introducing a new feature called “Achtung’s Got Talent!”. You can probably see where we’re going with this.
How does it work?
At the predetermined time (see programme available on the night) all willing participants will be invited up on stage (individually or as groups as the talent demands) and have a small amount of time to impress the judges – our burlesque stars and starlets – with their talent. The winner gets the prize! Anything goes – singing, dancing, miming, strutting, etc. Keep it *reasonably* clean though.
